2nd Annual Arrested Development Never Nude Pub Crawl

Are you a fan of Arrested Development?

Are you a never nude with an affinity for JORTS

Then come to H Street this Saturday for the 2nd Annual Arrested Development Never Nude Pub Crawl!
Get noticed, wear jorts, light blue shirts, staches, and proudly stumble from bar to bar. There will be DOZENS of us.

Last year, 15 attended the first annual crawl and this year we have at least 30 confirmed.
The Pug - August 2012
This is, above all, a celebration of the show and the impending return of Season 4 on May 26.

Here's a rough itinerary, for BRITISH EYES ONLY:

  • 1:00 - Rock and Roll Hotel rooftop (brunch for those who want it)
  • 2:00 - Biergarten Haus
  • 2:30 - Star & Shamrock
  • 3:00 - H Street Country Club
  • 4:00 - Smith Commons
  • 5:00 - The Pug
  • 6:00 - Queen Vic (a FLOCK OF BLUEBIRDS)
  • 7:00 - Cusbah
  • 8:00 - Little Miss Whiskeys
If anyone thinks this schedule will get followed to a T, they're worse than Rita Leeds. I fully anticipate this devolving into random Never Nudes wondering around H Street in the rain, sobbing louder than Tobias in the shower.

Hopefully we can make it through this journey without running into any BEES or MAGIC!

H & Pizza -- The Cheeseburger

Originally hearing about H &pizza's 'one week only' cheeseburger pizza from Eater DC, I was a bit skeptical, but intrigued. According to Eater DC,  the "creation comes from chef Matt Cordes of The Atlas Room." This tempered my doubts and gave me expectations.

Plus, I'm a fan of their food already, so there was no way--in my mind--founder Steve Salis could have promoted something that turned out horrid.

I was speechless after the first bite. The cheeseburger pizza was that good.

At the start, they'll pile on the sauce, provolone and mozzarella, mini hamburger patties, bacon, onions, and mushrooms. At this point it looks like a rather normal creation.

Once through the hopper (oven), the real magic happens. Cheddar cheese is added to each patty and also  pickles, cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce, spicy mayo (the kicker), and crunchy potato skins (EXCELLENT).

Finally, this beast was only cut three times vertically instead of the usual four. Separate from the pics you see on Eater DC, they didn't cut it horizontally either. Which allowed me to fold this into what felt like four separate hamburgers.

I highly recommend you go try this bit of deliciousness before it's gone. Again (cough), that's assuming they don't make it a mainstay.

$11 after tax.

Has anyone else had this and what are your thoughts?

Cusbah Serves ALL YOU CAN EAT Lunch for $10.99

@Cusbah on Twitter, making the announcement.

The headline says it all.

I decided this was most definitely newsworthy. I was led to the news from their Twitter account's posting of this Instragram photo.

Who doesn't want to choose from a variety of foods and overeat on purpose because only at a buffet should you feel like hell afterwards for gorging? Yes, yes I do.

If their buffet is anything like the rest of the foods I've eaten there, than this is one helluva value deal for the H Street Neighborhood.

I'll keep everyone posted.
Cusbah's buffet.

-----UPDATE-----

This buffet is from 11:30 - 3 p.m. Monday thru Friday, $10.99 each
